The Ultimate Marinade

The Ultimate Marinade

Written By: Tobi

PS: I have been using this recipe every holiday since 2018!

When I say this recipe has been tried, tested, and trusted not just by me but by hundreds of amazing people with top-notch taste buds. So, if you are here looking for a memorable marinade recipe - (HEAVY on the Memorable), you are in the right place.

The title of this recipe could have been "Spicy Coconut Milk Herb Marinade that will make you become a star chef", but that was too long. This marinade recipe was first used/posted in November of 2018 as a recipe with Turkey Wings - Spicy Coconut Milk Herb Turkey, and now 5 years later, after using it on various protein options - turkey wings, whole turkeys, and chicken, steak, and don't get me started on the deliciousness that is this recipe used to marinate some lamb chops!

Ingredients

  • 1 Red Onion
  • 2 Tbsp of Salt
  • 1 Tbsp of Thyme
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper
  • 10 Cloves of Garlic
  • ½ Bunch of Cilantro
  • 2 Thumbs of Ginger
  • 5 Green Onion Sprigs
  • 2 Tbsp of Rodo Crisps
  • 2 Tbsp of Curry Powder
  • 2 Tbsp of Bouillon Powder
  • 1 Can of Coconut Milk - 13.5 fl.oz/413ml

I can go on and on about how perfect this marinade is, but I will cut to the chase and let you start getting your shopping list together. If you prefer to watch the video, it's available on Instagram here

This recipe uses coconut milk as the binder for everything, lots of aromatics and warm spices, and a not-so-secret ingredient, Rodo Crisps, for that spicy kick that brings it all together. Rodo Crisps
