Spicy Shrimp Tacos - Adun

Hey, y’all! Beth here, this is my first blog post on AllIDoIsCook, and I’m so excited to be contributing this delicious Spicy Shrimp Taco recipe as my first!

Y’all know I had to come in with a bang, so when I say it’s spicy, trust me, these tacos are Spicy Good! As a Houston girl, Tacos have become one of my favorite dishes. Nothing beats the good old $1 Taco Truck Tacos, but when I cannot get to the trucks, these Spicy Shrimp Tacos are one of my favorite ways to enjoy them at home.

Before we go too far, Corn Tortillas >>>>> Flour tortillas, I’m ready to debate this any day. Anyway, let’s start with a run-through of this recipe. This Spicy Shrimp Tacos recipe is a 3 in 1 because I snuck in a creamy mango dressing recipe and a guac. recipe (shh, don’t tell anyone).


  • 1/2 Lime
  • 1/2 Mango
  • 1/4 Jalapeño
  • Salt (to taste)
  • 1 lb of Shrimp
  • 1/4 Red Onion
  • 1 Green Onion
  • 2 tsp of Paprika
  • 1 Small Avocado
  • Knorr – optional
  • 2 Cloves of Garlic
  • 2 tbsp of Rodo Oil
  • Handful of Cilantro
  • 1 tbsp of Rodo Crisps
  • 1 tsp of Onion Powder
  • Tortillas (Corn or Flour)
  • Cabbage & Carrot Slaw
  • 1/2 tsp of Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp of Ginger Powder
  • 3 Scoops of Sour Cream


  1. Completely clean and dry shrimp. 

  2. Marinate shrimp with Rodo crisps and oil, paprika, garlic, ginger, and onion powder. Shrimps with Seasoning - Adun

  3. Set aside to marinate. Seasoned Shrimps - Adun

  4. Add avocado to a mortar/bowl and mash with lime juice and salt to taste. Dice onion, jalapeño, and cilantro add to mashed avocados and mix properly to combine. Guacamole - Adun

  5. Add sour cream, half a mango, green onions, juice from the lime, and a pinch of salt. Blend till it’s smooth. Creamy Mango Dressing - Adun

  6. In a hot pan, add Rodo Oil and sauté shrimp for 2 mins on medium heat. Set aside. Shrimps in a Pan - Adun

  7. Warm your tortilla in a dry pan and assemble your Spicy Shrimp Tacos. This is my fav order – Tortilla – guac – cabbage – shrimp – sauce. If you have some onions, jalapeno & cilantro mix left, sprinkle that on. Chef’s kiss, ENJOY! Spicy Shrimp Tacos in a Plate - Adun
