And oh, a little bit of history and information.
St. Patrick’s Day is an Irish celebration, and on this day, we see a lot of parades, green costumes, and prominently, - DRINKSSSS! Today, we will be making a delicious cocktail with Ogogoro.
Ingredients
- Mint
- 1 Lime
- 1 Lemon
- Crushed Ice
- Angostura Bitters
- ½ Cup of Lemonade
- 2oz of Pedros Ogogoro
What’s that?
Ogogoro is a popular local gin distilled from palm wine. It is made in the south of Nigeria. This beverage is a top favorite of many people, not just in Nigeria but across different Africa. There is a lot of juicy history about Ogogoro and how far back it has been enjoyed and some tea about how the British tried to limit its production during the colonial times but, we will tackle that properly some other time.
Directions
- Add some Ice to a cup and pour in your Ogogoro and a dash of bitters.
- Add slices of lemon and lime along with mint and muddle together.
- Combine all ingredients with Lemonade and stir properly.
- Top with extra ice, and enjoy!
